Machine Features

  • Fully automated of the entire machine, easy to operate, convenient to maintain

  • To control the shrinkage rate, stability of fabric dimension, not easy to deformation.

  • To improve fabric smoothness gloss, drape and hand feeling.

  • To control fabric moisture regain, reduce the loss of fabric fiber during processing.

Fabric Compacting and Shaping Process

After the fabric undergoes overfeeding, width extension, and steaming processes, it enters between the compacting felt and the compacting roller, where it is clamped and moved forward. At this stage, the outer surface of the compacting felt is stretched longitudinally, and the compacting felt begins to gradually shorten in length. Since the frictional force between the fabric and the compacting felt is much greater than that between the fabric and the preshrinking paper, the fabric clings tightly to the surface of the compacting felt and is forcibly compressed and shortened by the compacting felt.

The fabric slides relative to the preshrinking paper. During this process, the outer surface of the compacting felt no longer deforms, marking the end of the preshrinking process.

As the fabric starts to detach from the preshrinking paper and enters between the compacting felt and the steaming cylinder, the compacting felt and the steaming cylinder move synchronously, clamping the fabric forward to complete the high-temperature ironing and shaping, thus fixing the fabric's dimensions. In a similar manner, the second preshrinking unit completes the preshrinking and shaping of the other side of the fabric. After this treatment, the fabric's unit weight increases, residual internal stress is eliminated, and the fabric will no longer deform after being worn and washed.

Introduction of the Felt Compacting Machine

During the manufacturing process of knitted fabrics, dimensional changes may occur due to stretching or other processing steps.

As a result, preshrinking treatment is often necessary to allow the fabric to shrink to a certain extent before further processing, preventing size inconsistencies during subsequent production stages.

This compacting machine is designed for the preshrinking process of knitted fabrics. Through a series of treatments such as heating, moistening, and stretching, the internal structure of the fabric fibers is altered to achieve the desired dimensions. This is particularly important for the production of high quality knitted fabric, where better control of fabric dimensions during production enhances product quality and consistency.

The compactor can handle various types of fabrics (e.g., single jersey, fleece, interlock) and fibers (e.g., cotton, cotton-acrylic, cotton-wool, cotton-polyester, cotton-Lycra).

The compactor can improve the appearance and quality of processed fabrics, meeting the demands of the most discerning customers for adopting the most advanced technology and utilizes high-quality materials and components. Additionally, it is controlled by automated electronic systems, making operation simple and ensuring high efficiency and stable performance.
